This tour begins in Shetland’s main town of Lerwick, where we will visit the picturesque south end of Commercial Street. We’ll visit the Lodberries - dating from the 17th century, these historic buildings have their foundations built into the sea; the Town Hall, with its impressive stained glass windows; and see townhouses which were built at the turn of the century.
From here we will head west, and to Scalloway – the former capital of Shetland, where we’ll visit the 17th century Scalloway Castle and the excellent local museum. Here you can learn about the Shetland Bus, a clandestine operation between occupied Norway and Shetland during the second world war, and other displays of local history.
We’ll also visit and learn about Shetland ponies - potentially our most famous export and definitely our cutest! You will learn all about the breed’s history.

Museum entry fee: £5.00
This three hour tour gives you an excellent overview of our islands, culture and heritage.
Tour consists of easy walking over short distances.
Refreshments available to purchase, comfort stop available.

- Range Rover Evoque - 1 to 3 pax, 3hrs @ £85 per hour = £255. Entry fees payable by customer.
- Land Rover Defender - 1 to 4 pax, 3hrs @ £95 per hour = £285. Entry fees payable by customer.
- Ford Executive Minibus - 4 to 10 pax, 3hrs @ £105 per hour = £315. Entry fees payable by customer.
